As a graduate of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, she is equipped with a deep understanding of human behavior and motivations, enabling her to create engaging and inclusive workplaces.

Human Resources professional with specialization in Employer Branding

19+ years of experience as an Organizational Psychologist, Jelena has held diverse Human Resources Management roles.
Recognized as a trailblazer in the field of employer branding in Croatia, she has served as a full-time Employer Brand Manager since 2019. Most notably, Jelena became the inaugural and sole in-house Employer Brand Manager for two distinguished organizations: A1 Hrvatska and Photomath (Google’s latest acquisition).

She has led successful projects to attract and retain top talent, with a particular emphasis on the tech sector and startups, and demonstrated her expertise as an in-house employer brand owner in positioning companies as top employers, by enhancing candidate and employee experiences.

In 2023, she founded INSPO Consulting, specializing in HR and employer branding. This exciting venture allows her to leverage her extensive experience to provide impactful consulting services in these areas.

At the Best Employer Brand Awards Adria 2023, Jelena received the Employer Branding Impact Award in recognition of her outstanding career achievements, valuable knowledge sharing, and significant contributions to the employer branding community.

Jelena is certified by the Employer Branding Academy in collaboration with Universum for mastery of impactful employer branding strategies.

In addition, she has enhanced her expertise through renowned programs, including PwC’s Academy Mini MBA program and the Young Managers Program at IEDC – Bled School of Management, further enriching her strategic acumen and leadership capabilities.

She enjoys sharing her expertise as a guest lecturer at business schools such as Algebra MBA (Managing and leading people module).

Jelena’s expertise and insights have been widely recognized, including recently as a featured speaker at prominent conferences and events including Weekend Media Festival, LEAP Summit, HR.Weekend, Empple Festival, and more.

As a co-founder of the Hacking HR Community in Croatia, she actively contributed to advancing HR practices and fostering collaboration between HR and technology enthusiasts

She hosted the Hacking HR Zagreb Chapter meetups, events for the HR & Tech Community that gathered 200+ attendees, providing an interactive platform for industry professionals to network and stay informed about the latest trends.

Within the Hacking HR community, and in partnership with Netokracija, she conducted a pioneering employer brand survey that unveiled the expectations developers have from their employers and spotlighted the top 20 IT companies in Croatia that were widely recognized as exceptional employers. The results gained substantial coverage through a Netokracija’s article and podcast, and were featured at the Employer Branding Day 2021 Conference.

Hosting Events and Building Communities

During her tenure at Photomath, she conceptualized and organized multiple series of EB events: Engineering Management meetup, Photomath Talk webinars, and Girls in ICT Day Brunch, personally hosting each one. These events gathered significant attention, with every session attracting over 150-200 applications, an impressive testament to the brand’s significance within the Tech Community.

As part of her commitment to volunteering, Jelena is proud to regularly organize Engineering Management meetups and is also a dedicated mentor in Mentoring Byte, a volunteer initiative aimed at empowering the local IT community through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

In her free time, Jelena is passionate about sports, including long-distance running, going to the gym, SUP, surfing and snowboarding. Most importantly, she values moments with loved ones while also acknowledging that she occasionally finds enjoyment in her alone time as an introvert.
